Human Rights Day: The fourth annual Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival will take place from 6th to 12th December 2015.
It will feature a diverse schedule of events, ranging from comedy, poetry, music and film to discussion, lectures, exhibitions, and “everything in between”.
A particular highlight is sure to be the Refugee Welcome Party and Family Day – the closing event of the festival – which takes place in Belfast on Saturday, 12th December. According to the organisers, “We want to show solidarity with the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Community and reach out the hand of friendship. We want to give the people of Belfast and beyond the opportunity to not just be generous with donations but to welcome those without a community into ours”.
All events are open to the public and most are free.
